Energy Justice Workshop, May 2019
The purpose of the workshop was to bring together researchers that are empirically investigating different aspects of energy justice.
There are important empirical questions that need to be addressed through innovations in both data and methodology. Although more and more scholarly attention is being paid to energy justice and the just transition, empirical research has lagged behind. Our underlying motivation for the workshop was to start a conversation about what empirical research in this field should look like, and how can we help develop a new cadre of scholars to engage.
The workshop was made possible through the generous support of Bruce Cain and the Bill Lane Center for the American West (Stanford University) and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
