Lucas Giese is a first-year Masters of Public Affairs student at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. He studies energy and climate in public affairs, with a concentration on energy efficiency and equity. Originally from Eau Claire, WI, Lucas holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from St. John’s University, MN where he focused on international climate policy. Prior to graduate school, he worked in private, nonprofit, and utility energy programs, including as a low-income program coordinator in Duluth, MN and as a HERS rater in Eureka, California. Lucas enjoys cycling, backpacking, and playing guitar, and is learning to carve spoons.
